Fig, Santa Monica

Helloo everyone.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may know about my obsession with Netflix’s new show Selling Sunset. It really motivates me to make a million dollars and then buy a mansion in the Hollywood Hills, you know?

Well, another perk of the show is that it is all set right here in Los Angeles, and they go to the coolest restaurants! So there I was with my notes app out, writing down all the restaurants they visit in the show. I discovered Fig in the Fairmont Hotel, and I just had to go. Pronto.

Wow, this place was b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. Seriously. Light poured onto the tables through the sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony.  Gorgeous plants hung from the ceiling. We snagged a table outside, with a view of the pool and rest of hotel. I felt like I was on vacation!

Although we originally wanted to go for breakfast, we made it there in time for lunch. The food was so good. I ordered the grilled cheese. It had cheddar and american cheese, heirloom tomatoes and buttered pickles, and a side of french fries. Amazing. I then tried some of the prosciutto pizza. Superb.

Fig is more on the expensive side, so I would definitely recommend going for breakfast if you’re looking for more reasonable prices. They have many delicious things on the breakfast menu that I would love to come back and try, like the lemon ricotta pancakes, brioche french toast, and crispy waffle.

Now that I have officially crossed Fig off the list, I’m ready to knock off the next restaurant from the show. I’ll keep you guys  updated!

Courtney
