If I were asked where to take someone on their first trip to Los Angeles, I would take them to Melrose Avenue. It is just so LA… From the coffee shops to the shopping and wall art, there is just so much to do and see along this strip.
We started the day getting brunch at the Hart and the Hunter. It’s actually a little restaurant inside of the Palihouse Hotel. It reminded me of the Allis at SoHo House Chicago, if you’re familiar with it. The food was yummy for a casual brunch, with pretty indoor and outdoor seating. We loved the mimosas.
Next, we walked across the street to a new mural hot spot (7829 Melrose Ave). I’m allllll about getting a good photo, and this place is picture perfect.

After about a five minute walk, we ended up at a new coffee shop called Coffee Dose Cafe, which had just opened up the day before! We were one of the first customers 😉 I love the branding of this place (everything is pink!). They have a list of Rx lattes, which include ingredients such as CBD, MCT oil, and collagen. I ordered the “Beauty” latte: almond milk, Vital Proteins collagen, lavender/rose syrup, and espresso.
Last but not least, we stopped at Carerra Cafe for more coffee and photos. This place switches up their wall art all the time! Big fan, big fan.
Happy exploring!
