Sweet Home Chicago

Hi guys!

So last week, I finally got to go home to Illinois for the first time in two years! It was a bit weird being back and visiting all the places I used to go to on a daily basis. My favorite part though, was spending time in the city.

Chicago is absolutely BEAUTIFUL in the summer. The weather is perfect, and everyone is walking around and sitting outside on restaurant patios. I spent a day at one of my favorite spots in the city, where I think you get one of the best views… Oak Street Beach!

I went to a few different restaurants in the city while I was home, including brunch at The Allis at the Soho House. The interior of the restaurant was so cute! They offer an afternoon tea with finger sandwiches which looked SOO yummy. Afterwards, we walked right across the street to a really cool, industrial-looking coffee shop. We also had lunch on the river walk one day. The food was okay, but the view was great!

On my last night, my friends and I went to an amazing cuban restaurant called 90 Miles on Armitage. It was BYOB and such fun vibes. It has a huge out door patio lit up by string lights. I ordered the chicken empanadas and plantain chips and they were to die for. After dinner, we celebrated our last night by going to a bar called Beaumonts and dancing the night away. It was SO much fun.

Although I had an amazing trip back home, it feels good to be back in LA. See you next time Chicago!
