Spring Break: Cabo San Lucas

Happy Monday!

Spring break is officially over and reality has kicked in after an amazing two week vacation. I just came back from Cabo a few days ago and wanted to share some highlights of the trip.

We stayed at Villa La Estancia on the Sea of Cortez. If you travel to Cabo, make sure to stay on the Sea of Cortez because it is the only body of water there that you can swim in. The resort was very nice. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and the rooms very spacious. It is also walking distance to downtown via the street or beach.

Since we got the all inclusive package, we spent most days eating and relaxing by the pool. On the resort grounds, my favorite restaurant was Neptune. The views were absolutely stunning. We did walk down the beach to Mango Deck a few times, and of course went out to the clubs to experience the famous night life. The most well known clubs are Squid Roe, Mandala, etc. Although, our personal favorite was the Nowhere Bar on the marina.

We only left the resort to eat once. It was at The Office, a Mexican restaurant on the beach. We literally sat with our feet in the sand. If you go there, I suggest getting the pina colada (it comes in a pineapple) and the coconut shrimp. It was so good! Other restaurant suggestions I have are Ediths, Flora Farms, Hacienda La Cocina y Cantina, and Mi Casa.

My two favorite parts from the trip was a snorkeling tour and getting a fish spa treatment on my feet. I wrote a blog post on the fish spa treatment here. To snorkel, we used Cabo Escape. The boat was two stories and had an open bar. We were fed lunch and were also given chips and salsa as an afternoon snack.

We first stopped at the famous arc and took photos before heading on to the snorkeling locations. Not only did we get to go snorkeling, but also had several whale sightings while we were boating around! On our way back to the port, there was a little dance party.

Cabo was definitely one of the crazier places I’ve been to. Thankfully with the hotel I stayed at, I got to relax during the day without being too immersed in the whole party scene. At night, I got to do all that fun stuff!

What did you do over spring break?
