With the stress of finals ending, my brother and I wanted to take a little trip to the Bay to kick off winter break. I had never been to San Francisco before and I was just dying to go!
Of course we had to go to the Golden Gate Bridge. We drove across it and stopped at this picturesque look out.
We decided to take a dirt trail down to the beach, where the insta-famous swing is that overlooks the water and the bridge. Unfortunately it was taken down, but the views and hike were worth it none the less.
After seeing the beautiful Painted Ladies, we walked a few blocks down to go to the house where they filmed the exterior shots of my favorite childhood show, “Full House.” That moment was definitely a personal highlight! Many people were on the sidewalk waiting to take pictures in front of the house.
Look Familiar?
We had a lot of fun riding the cable cars around town. We hung off the sides of the car every time because we liked to cruise down the streets with the wind in our hair.
On our last day, we got breakfast at Haight-Ashbury, which was THE place to be during the Hippie Movement in the 60s. Not much has changed!
We got popcorn shrimp in Fisherman’s Wharf, had sundaes in Ghiradellhi Square, had amazing dinners in China Town, toured the Walt Disney Family Museum and even checked out the California Academy of Sciences and walked the Japanese Tea Garden! Unfortunately we could not tour Alcatraz, because tickets were all sold out, so make sure to book far in advance if you are planning on visiting!
Hope everyone is having a fantastic break!
