If you’re anything like me, it takes some real motivation to just sit down and read a book. I know, it’s sad. Nowadays I find myself surfing the web or spending hours on Instagram instead. Despite my laziness, I have read a few books this summer that I have thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. The titles are included in this list along with some that I am still wanting to read. Who knows, these just might make your perfect poolside read!
Non-fiction on successful living:

Every time I walk into a book store, I see this book sitting at the front table and I keep meaning to read it! It’s about incorporating creativity and passion into our everyday thoughts and lives. I’m a creative person who uses this blog as an outlet to express myself so I would love to hear what Elizabeth Gilbert has to say!

I’m a communications major with the intention of becoming a publicist one day so this book gave me great insight into the world of PR! It’s written by a successful publicist so it was entertaining to read all of his personal anecdotes.

My brother is currently reading this so I’m gonna snatch it from him once he’s finished 😉 It’s about the factors that make up a successful life.
Inspirational and Spiritual:

I have a bookshelf in my house filled with novels and this book happens to be on it. I keep meaning to read it and I’ve only heard great things about it so I’m excited to pick it up next!

One of my Mom’s favoritesssss. Sometimes I get way to caught up with anxiety of the future or past so this book is a must in learning how to live in the MOMENT.

Shona Rhimes is a successful producer who came out with this New York Times Best Seller. It’s a great read if you’re looking for some change in your life and shows how saying yes is the key!
Mystery:

I’m currently half way through this book and it is soooo good! Seriously guys. I was up until two a.m. last night because I couldn’t put the book down. PLUS it’s going to be a movie!

I stumbled across this one in the book store. It looks super suspenseful and reminds me a bit of And Then There Were None.
Let me know if you have read any of these books or if you have any book recommendations!
