1. Runyon Canyon
Runyon would have to be my favorite hike in LA! It’s super easy to get to and a celebrity hot spot. I always go around sunset, because the sky turns a bright pink and the city lights start to sparkle. Also makes for great silhouette photos. I use the Fuller Avenue park entrance.
2. The Hollywood Sign
Hollyridge trail is one of many in Griffith Park. It’s 3.5 miles round trip and can take you to the viewing area right behind the Hollywood Sign. The beginning of the trails starts at the top of Beachwood Drive. It’s hard to find parking, so I suggest taking an Uber there!
3. Mount Hollywood Trail, Griffith Park
This hike offers a great view of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Park Observatory. It also crosses a bridge that makes for an amazing photo opp!
4. Los Liones Trail, Topanga Canyon
If you want views of the Pacific Ocean, than this is the hike for you. The top of the trail has a bench where you can sit and admire Santa Monica Bay!
5. Escondido Falls
This rugged Malibu hike has to be one of the toughest I’ve done in SoCal so far. It’s best known for the waterfall you encounter along the way!
Happy hiking!
